iChongqing’s Russian host Natalia ventured deep into the mountains of Chongqing, capturing with her camera the day-to-day life of power line inspectors. The workers trek through snow, tapping on towers, using drones to monitor ice accumulation, and relying on both technology and experience to protect the silver threads across the mountains. As night falls and distant lights gradually turn on, the workers say, “This is the meaning of our inspections.” Behind the electricity miracle that powers 1.4 billion people lies not only the technological achievement of a 960,000 km power grid but also the tireless footsteps of countless ordinary people, who inscribe warmth into the snow with every step.
